Backup Entra IDwith Veeam
Add Entra ID Tenant
From the Veeam console, open Inventory tab and extend Virtual Infrastructure. Click on Microsoft Hyper-V then click on Add Server.
From the Entra ID portal, click on Overwiew then copy the tenant ID. This ID it’s used on the wizard for add Entra ID on Veeam.
A new wizars appear
Configure the protection scope. The Essential ressource cant be removed. For Conditional access policies, Intune policies or Logs, this resource can be removed or added. Use the button on the right to perform the desired action
I don’t have a,y application on my tenant for Veeam Backup & Replication. I select Create a new account then click on Next. If the application is already created, select Use the existing account.
The authentification must be performed. Copy the pass code with the link Copy to clipboard then click on the link https://microsoft.com/devicelogin.
Paste the passcode previously copied then click on Next.
Enter the credential of one global administrator then click op Next.
Click on Apply. The creation is in progress….
Click on Finish on the Summary windows. THe Entra ID tenant is now added on Veeam.
Create backup repositories
We will now create a backup repository. I choose to use my Wasabi storage. From the Veeam console, access to the Backup Infrastructure tab then click on Backup Repositories. On the ribon, click on Add Repository.
A wizzard appear, click on Object storage for select wasabi or other object storage.
Click on Additional Providers.
Type the Wasabi region and select the credentials. It’s possible to add the credential with the button Add
Click on Browse button for select the desired bucket and create the folder. I not enable the backups immutable. It’s very important to enable it on production.
Configure the mount server. Linux or Windows mount server can be used. I choose to use my Linux mount server. With Add button, you can create a new one.
Click on Apply on the Review windows to proceed at the configuration.

Verify if all operation are been validated then click on Next.
Create backup job
From the Veeam console, click on Backup job then select . Select the ressource which must be backup ed.
Enter the name of the backup job, then click on Next.
Select the desired tenant and configure the retention.
Configure the scheduling and click on Next.
Click on Finish. When the job is finished, it’s possible to restore some
